Our Partnership with CSUN In 2003, working alongside California State University, Northridge, Torongo helped establish the Kazi Nazrul Islam Endowment Fund — a landmark achievement in bringing Bengali cultural scholarship to American higher education. This partnership supports a lectureship program that, since its revival in 2024, has been actively running again after a brief pause during the pandemic years.
The Kazi Nazrul Islam Endowment Fund supports scholarly work, cultural programming, and student opportunities connected to Nazrul’s legacy.
